OUR NEXGEN HEARING SERVICES
West Kelowna Hearing Aid Care & Hearing Test Services
For many, hearing loss – whether it is partial or full – makes many parts of daily life. Hearing loss can often be detected with signs like constant ringing that comes with tinnitus or muffled hearing in one or both ears. Hearing damage makes everyday conversations more difficult to follow, and audible warnings harder to hear.
No matter your hearing loss symptoms, the expertise of a qualified RHIP is needed to provide a high quality hearing test to assess your hearing loss. They will review the results, help guide you to the right hearing aid and show you how to operate and care for it. Our team at the West Kelowna NexGen Hearing Clinic located on Louie Drive is passionate about providing the highest quality hearing aid care to all of our patients. Get in touch with us to book your free hearing test today, and get back to hearing the amazing sounds of our city!

ANSWERS ABOUT HEARING AIDS AND MORE
Frequently Asked Questions
- Voices sounding muffled or unclear

- Needing higher volume settings on televisions, stereos and headphones
- Trouble differentiating between foreground and background noise
A no-obligation hearing screening is free at any one of our clinics. This assessment includes the 3-point series of tests that includes measuring air conduction, word discrimination, and checking the eardrum and middle ear system. More comprehensive exams that require reporting such as physician reports, employment requirements or children’s hearing test are exempt from the free hearing test offer, check with your local clinic for rates.
A hearing aid will drastically improve the quality of your hearing. However, it cannot restore the natural function of your ear. If you require a hearing aid to improve your hearing, then you will need to rely on it to maintain your hearing.
We do perform cerumen management at a small number of our NexGen Hearing clinics, most clinics prefer to provide this service to existing clients only. If you are a new client call ahead to find out which clinic offers cerumen management please call us at 1 (877) 606 6671.
If you have any history of outer ear pathology or ear infections, we recommend you see your family doctor.
The adjustment period for a new hearing aid can vary from person to person. Most people become fully adjusted to their hearing aid within two to three weeks, but some people can take up to four months to become completely comfortable with their hearing aid.
It’s important to remain patient while you get used to your hearing aid, but if you suspect that your hearing aid is not calibrated properly or it isn’t working for you, come back to see us and we’ll help you adjust your hearing aid or set you up with one that will work better for your needs.
