The Parksville NexGen Hearing Clinic is a full service and full-time hearing aid and hearing health centre. We take pride in helping our clients who might be experiencing tinnitus, muffled hearing or possible hearing loss. There are many types of hearing loss including sensorineural, conductive or even a mixture of these conditions which reduce a person’s quality of life. A hearing test at the Parksville NexGen Hearing Clinic can determine the particular nature and severity of your hearing loss.
Our Registered Hearing Instrument Practitioner will discuss the results of your hearing test and provide you with options for a hearing aid that suits your needs. We offer free hearing tests at our hearing clinic. All of our hearing aids are backed by a 21 day no-money down trial, and a 90 day money back satisfaction guarantee. To ensure you get the best value on your purchase, we will price match any valid competitor quote or advertised price on the same make and model of hearing instrument.
Our commitment to quality customer service means that you can expect us to deliver the highest level of professional hearing aid care from start to finish. We strive to build strong relationships and foster trust with all our clients. We encourage family members to take part in their loved one’s journey to better hearing. A hearing aid will drastically improve the quality of your hearing. However, it cannot restore the natural function of your ear. If you require a hearing aid to improve your hearing, then you will need to rely on it to maintain your hearing.
There are many factors that determine the style of hearing aid that’s right for you, including but not limited to factors such as your degree of hearing loss, size and shape of your ear and ear canal, and any special features that are required.

- Avoid loud noises and areas for 16 hours before the test.
- Remove any earwax that may be in your ear canal. Do not use a Q-tip to do this as that will only push earwax deeper into the canal. Let our clinic staff take care of cleaning out your ears for you.
- Let us know if you take or have taken antibiotics that can damage hearing, such as gentamicin.
- Smoking (studies show that smokers experience more hearing loss than non-smokers)
- Genetics
- Medical Conditions
- Medications
- Sickness
- Repeated Exposure to Loud Noises
